Our stay in this Airbnb in San Rafael, Heredia, just outside of San Jose, was a serene escape with all the comforts of home. The 2-bed, 2-bath apartment, complete with AC throughout and a washer/dryer, provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking city view that greeted us each morning. The listing mentioned the proximity to a Palí supermarket, which is indeed nearby, though we found it more convenient to drive rather than walk due to the location not being easily walkable, crossing busy intersections, no sidewalks, and being either up or down steep hills to go anywhere. Note this is also located next to a major street and it can be noisy.

I loved my stay at Maria's place. The view, location, soft sheets, secure building and keyless entry were the highlights for me.

Stayed 3 weeks and it was great! Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. A previous reviewer said the mattresses were saggy, but the ones there during our stay were pretty firm (which we like). Great view of the area. Easy to walk into Heredia centro (15-20 min) or catch the bus around the corner. There is some road noise from the highway, especially in the larger bedroom if the window is open. We closed it overnight and it wasn't too bad. The window layout allows for a nice cross breeze, which helps a lot on warm days. The pool is very small but still refreshing and a nice amenity. Responsive host. We would definitely stay again.

We spend a couple of days in SanJosé before going back home, and we felt very safe and satisfied with the apartment. Great view over both city, volcanoes and hills. Maria was very helpful and always responding quickly. We can only recommend this place 😊
