Angus was always great to interact with, gainfully answered my many questions, and really understanding when my arrival was later than expected. The place is lovely, peaceful, and an amazing getaway from the city while still being accessible to shops and restaurants. It's clear he takes pride in it, with thoughtful touches throughout. I would happily stay there again!

Angus was chill yet attentive and his place was a great way to experience the tranquility of Mui Wo. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the nature of HK up close.

Perfect place for a quiet retreat not so far from the busy city of Hong Kong! Angus’ place is literally in the jungle with trees and animals all around. If you look for calm and nature, that’s the location to go. The place is really nice and well decorated and it has all you need for a good weekend with family and friends. Angus is really kind and he was even here to welcome us at the house and show us around. I highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing time at Angus’ place and it definitely felt like a holiday away when we were there, which is what we were looking for. Angus is a great host - very helpful and informative. He was always available and willing when you contact him. We felt welcomed. The place is tucked away nicely about 30mins walk from the Ferry Pier. The walk from the pier was relatively easy to find on our first attempt as Angus gave good directions, but we got a bit lost at the end (last 5mins) and there was no reception to contact Angus. But one of the few neighbours knew Angus anyway and directed us. The second half of the walk back from town in the night is dark so do have your torches ready. Angus had one that we could use, and also provided us with bikes to ride to and from town which is much quicker (only 15mins) especially downhill going into town. A bit of uphill ride on your way back (second half). Mostly we just walked when we were there as we had a dog with us. The place is lovely and full of character. the high ceiling / mezzanine layout very cool and comfortable. The surrounding is super quiet and peaceful and the views are stunning. The bathroom needs updating and some of the outside furnitures probably needs replacing but it’s a work in progress. There are also great hikes in the area and waterfalls, so if it’s your thing, definitely go exploring during the day.
