Simona was a fantastic host and very patient with us even with flight delays. She arranged to provide an ironing board, additional pillows upon request, and was most importantly really helpful before and during the stay. Fantastic host.

Ražanj is a small fishing and tourist village situated between Split and Šibenik. The beautiful bays feature a large number of villas and apartments, where many tourists spend their summer vacation, enjoying the beautiful setting of pine forests, beaches and crystal clear waters. Ražanj is therefore an ideal place for a quiet family holiday in unspoilt nature, where you can find three restaurants, two small markets, open market with daily fresh fish and two cafes.
The closest town is Rogoznica, where you can take part in various festivities, the most well-known of these is the “Rogoznica fishermen’s evening.” For those who prefer entertainment that lasts till the morning, there is the famous night club “Aurora” near Primošten. Sports and recreation fans can enjoy various activities such as fishing, scuba diving, cycling, various aqua sports and other activities. Genuine Dalmatian cuisine and other specialties of this region can be found in the many restaurants of Rogoznica, of which we recommend the following: “Antonio,” “Fortuna,” “Siesta” and “Atrium.” In Rogoznica be sure to visit: the salt lake "The Eye of the Dragon", the beautiful yacht harbor Marina Frapa (one of the most beautiful marinas in Croatia, with a 400 berths and numerous facilities, there you can also find swimming pool, tennis court, squash, bowling, table tennis and sauna), the small chapel Virgin Mary and the parish church.
Ražanj is connected to Rogoznica with a speed taxi boat that drives every hour, every day during period 15.06-15.09 for a small price.
Because of its location Ražanj is great start point if you want to visit some most popular touristic or historical places in Adriatic coast because it is situated in middle of them. It is the best choice if you plan to enjoy your holiday in quiet relaxing surrounding, away from city traffic, the tourist crowds and full beaches which is characterized by larger resorts on the Adriatic coast with an option to explore Adriatic “must-see” places like:
…if you decide to explore north don’t miss…
Primošten (15km from us) is an island town, surrounded by seven smaller islands. It is a typical Mediterranean town which is best seen in its small streets and small stone houses in the center of the old town. It is home to two beautiful small churches: the church of St. George, built in 1485, and the church of St. Rocco, built in 1680. Those who enjoy sports may take part in playing tennis, table tennis, parasailing, jet-ski riding, beach volleyball, mini golf and many other activities.
Šibenik (33km from us) is the oldest native Croatian city on the Adriatic, located at the mouth of the river Krka. It is famous for its various historical landmarks such as the fortresses of St. Michael, St. Nicholas, St. John and Šubićevac, the Cathedral of St. Jacob, St. Francis church, St. Dominic’s church and the Four Wells. If you would like to further explore the history of the city, we recommend visiting its museums and galleries: Museum of the City of Šibenik, Gallery of St. Krševan, AG Gallery, and the Madrigal Gallery. Apart from its historical characteristics, Šibenik is well known for its summertime festivities. Šibenik is home to the International Children’s Festival, Šibenik Evening, Evenings of Dalmatian Chansons, Organ Summer School and Šibenik Cultural Summer.
Krka National Park is a vast and primarily unaltered area of exceptional natural value, including one or more preserved or insignificantly altered ecosystems. The purpose of the park is primarily to serve science, culture, education and recreation, while tourism activities have also been introduced for its visitors (http://www.npkrka.hr). It covers a total area of 109 km2 of the loveliest sections of the Krka River, and the lower course of the Čikola River. When you are there don’t miss to visit Skradinski buk, the seventh, final, and longest travertine barrier on the Krka River. It is located approximately 13 kilometers downstream from Roski waterfall.
The Kornat Islands are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean. Nowhere else in this large sea are such a great number of islands crammed in so little space. Because of ambiguous criteria of the definition of an island in general, there is no general agreement about their number. But we think that we shall not err much if we determine their number at 150. The area pf the sea in which they are located is about 320 square kilometers. Part of the archipelago, roughly two thirds of the land and the sea, is a national park today (National Park Kornati) where have been identified 537 species of invertebrates, 160 species of fishes, one tortoise and three species of mammals, one of which - the monk seal - is probably extinct.
…if you choose to explore south make sure to visit…
Trogir (25 km from us) is also called the "city-museum" because each rock and building has its own importance for a specific period of history. In the 1997, Trogir's old city center was put into the UNESCO's list of the world's monumental heritage.
Split (45 km from us) is a city which is forever young, due to its easy tempo of living which is very easy to get used to. It is one of the best known and most visited tourist destinations in the Adriatic and the second largest city in Croatia. The heart of the city is Diocletian’s palace and we also recommend you visit the following: the Iron Gate, the statue of bishop Gregory of Nin, the cathedral of St. Duje, church of St. Francis, cathedral of St. Peter, the main court, city basement, St. Anne’s monastery.
Omiš (65 km from us) is a small Mediterranean town located at the mouth of the river Cetina. Of its historical characteristics, we emphasize the following: the fortresses Mirabela and Fortica, parish church of St. Michael, Franciscan monastery, churches of St. Peter, Holy Spirit, St. Rocco, St. Mary, the Ilirian seminary, old cemetery, medieval town center, pole of shame and the old town lodge. Sports fans can take part in river rafting on the Cetina, free climbing, wind surfing, swimming marathon, beach volleyball and other activities.
