Cathy and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable, and great cooks; breakfast was over the top!! Well versed on the area and interesting. The place was adorable, loved the colors and pieces-something to interest everyone. Quiet, clean and comfortable, my daughter and I enjoyed our night there to meet and work. Hot tub was in a perfect garden nook and really relaxing. Will definitely stay again when we have more time to explore the outdoors and the river. Thank you Cathy and Paul!!

When booking our stay, we read the reviews that raved about the breakfasts, the history, and the beautiful views. All of this proved to be true and more! Kathy and Paul make you feel right at home from the moment you step inside The Barnard house. They provided us with the utmost care and catered to our dietary restrictions. The homemade, locally sourced breakfasts were nothing short of amazing. From melt-in-your-mouth pineapple upside-down pancakes to savory potato crust quiches, we loved every bite! We enjoyed our breakfasts with views of the Allegheny river while hearing about the incredible history of the Barnard House. Our room was clean, comfortable, and full of unique art. We enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub and exploring the nearby trails. We loved our stay here and cannot wait to go back!

This is a true bed and breakfast in all its glory. Every detail has been though out, from decor and hand crafted soaps to beautiful macarons that greet you when you arrive. The breakfast was scrumptious with great attention to local and high quality ingredients. we were here for a wedding so we did not get to take advantage of any of the biking around but if you want a lovely retreat from the world, you could not choose a better place. Oh, and did I mention the immaculate gardens in full bloom surrounding the porch!?

This is a very interesting historical home, and hosts Cathy and Paul will make you feel right at home including a little history lesson. The accommodations were very clean, and breakfast is a delicious farm-to-table affair. The bed is comfortable, and don’t forget your swimsuit for the hot tub. This bed and breakfast is right at the end of the Allegany River Trail making it perfect for bikers.
