Thais, Lynn and the rest of the staff were a most hospitable, peaceful and cheerful inn crew. Our large family rented the entire inn, so we could celebrate our son’s wedding in Wolfborro. We were made to feel comfortable, even with lots of children, during our stay in this lovely historic inn. Our accommodations made for a memorable family time, by having the whole inn to ourselves, including the contemporary kitchen, sunroom and grounds. We own a 110 year old home in Maine, so we appreciated the ‘Open Door’ to our large family. Our family came to the inn from far and wide, and, abroad. Staying in hotels would not have provided us with the same ‘down home’ experience we had at the inn. The Sutton Inn owner and staff possess a unique gift of expressing caring hospitality through patience, kindness and flexibility. We hope to return to The Sutton Inn to experience it as a Bed and Breakfast. I know we will not be disappointed!

Very nice house. Super clean, well taken care of. Comfortable. We rented the whole house for our group of 23. Had a great weekend.

If you love B&B's and are traveling to New Hampshire the only place to stay is The Sutton House. A beautiful Victorian, lovingly restored, offers inviting rooms with en suite baths (yes, every room), beds to die for and a host that is attentive but not intrusive. We brought our family of 15 there for Christmas holidays and it was magical. For every question we had, every "thing" we needed... Thais either had it, got it... or helped us find it. Before arrival Lynn helped me plan meals (best French toast ever) and Thais helped me arrange rooms with extra beds where needed. I just don't have the words to explain just how perfect they made our stay.

There was plenty of space for our group. It was great that every room has a private bathroom. The house is well equipped for an enjoyable stay. We were close to lots of activities. We were very comfortable and had a great time.

The house was very clean and it is in a good location, close to nearby lakes and things to do. It is also nice that the house is a spacious and can accommodate large groups. The pool is also a plus! My family and I were expecting to have a relaxing few days in a place that we completely rent out to be away from others due to safety precautions. We brought our elderly grandfather with cancer and other family members. It was hard to feel relaxed because we were always being told to do something by the host. The host was constantly popping up at all hours of the day, early morning and night. There was no knocking and no notice, she would just show up to “check things around the house.” We were notified on how to lock doors and turn on lights, so I’m not sure why the host would come by to do those things. In addition, she came to turn off lights in areas that were being used, like the lights to the stairway that my elderly grandpa uses to get to the room. While I was out getting ice cream, I got a phone call saying the host was looking for me. So immediately I thought something was wrong, this is just an example of the constant and looming presence of the host projecting anxiety. In addition, there were several people walking around the premises that we didn’t know. We were told we can’t go to the pool area past 9, even though the fire pit was by the pool and we wanted to do s’mores at night. We were told checkout was at 10AM and before 10 o clock house keepers were at the house, as we are trying to pack up and not leave anything behind. Overall, the host was very intrusive and created a lot of anxiety because of all the rules and constant babysitting. We were simply having a family reunion/short vacation and the host was constantly popping up without notice and entering the house. I am disappointed with the way that this impacted our getaway. If you are looking for a place to relax and not have any worries, I don’t exactly recommend staying at the Sutton House because of the lack of privacy.
