The house is stunning and in a beautiful location. The communication with the host before arriving was great, and they even let us check in early which was appreciated. We had the perfect weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Atherstone Farm. The photos don't do the place justice - it's absolutely huge and so well appointed. The social spaces were perfect for boardgames and we had a delicious meal courtesy of the recommended private chefs, Milkshed Catering. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the hosts set them up in the configuration we needed. Ample parking and a real sense of getting away from it all. A perfect location for a brilliant weekend - thank you!

We had such a wonderful couple of days at Atherstone Farmhouse with our family. It was everything that I had hoped it to be- cosy, roaring log burners, home from home, and spacious for 10 of us, with everyone having a gorgeous en suite room, with no one feeling like they had the short straw. It was perfect to have quality time, playing games, ( provided), a well equipped kitchen to cook in, and the fantastic local pub, The Barrington Boar, for excellent food. It did take us an hour to walk there, but only about 8 mins to drive, (although some of the lanes are single track so a little hairy to drive, if you meet someone coming the other way!) The property is such a gorgeous old farmhouse with all the charm of a historical building, and I think you’d have a wonderful stay any time of the year. Thank you for the lovely homemade cake, and all the extra provisions provided, that was much appreciated. Thank you Ewen and Esther for giving us a memorable time in Somerset.

The house is beautiful and decorated to a very high standard throughout. Very spacious inside and in a quiet location. I would have given 5* across the board if it weren’t for a problem with flies in one of bedrooms. The roof is thatched and hopefully this problem can be fixed.

A beautiful cottage, set in idyllic countryside in a rural location. Nearby town with plenty of amenities, great local pubs within driving distance (especially the Lord Poulett Arms). Host Ewan was very responsive to messages ahead of our stay. Highly recommended!
