Enjoy this sunny, airy Twin bedroom in a private, bright & comfortable bed and breakfast home in a quiet neighborhood near beaches, bike paths & transportation. This room has individual temperature control, two twin beds (convertible into a king) and a trundle bed, set up according to your needs. A hallway bathroom with bathtub and shower is shared with Queen room guests. Located in the 2nd floor Guest Suite with 2 other bedrooms that are also available. Hosts occupy the 1st floor of JADE House. The Twin Room has ample space and clothes storage for 3 people. Beds can be set up with 2 twin beds, 2 twins plus a twin trundle or a king size bed with a twin trundle to best accommodate your needs. It has individual control of temperature, cross ventilation and a fan that augments the nearly constant sea breeze. The Guest Suite has two other bedrooms that are available. See listings for: JADE Queen Room and JADE Grand Bedroom. The entire 2nd floor is available and is listed as JADE House Guest Suite. The owners live on the first floor of the house and are available to help.

Joy and Alan are superb hosts with an abundance of positive energy and a depth of warmth and empathy that was extremely refreshing. The food was wonderful, the nights were ultra peaceful, and the strong values of Joy and Alan were powerfully evident throughout my stay. I heartily recommend Jade House to anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard.
Joy and Alan’s place was so amazing! It’s in such a beautiful private area and cute home. THE BREAKFAST was amazing! Joy really went above and beyond with locally sourced and sooo yum. One of my fav parts. Also loved the outdoor shower. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!
Joy and Alan are gracious and accommodating hosts. They helped my friend and me navigate the island with rented bikes and the island’s public transit system. Their place is close to the airport and an easy walk to the bus. We enjoyed the breakfast prepared by Joy and appreciated the helpful information she and Alan gave us on getting around the island and seeing the sights.
Joy and Alan need to disclose that they are kosher and you can't bring any food into the house at all, and not assume we do NOT know the meaning of "Kosher". They expect you to leave your food outside on the porch overnight. Joy needs to give her guests privacy and not probe excessively about where and what you did while out and about. Joy also needs to give her guests privacy while eating breakfast. Also Joy needs to say guests are not allowed to cook or use ANY kitchen appliances while there. "NO kitchen privileges" is vague and my friends and I thought that meant we can't cook. We were thirsty and asked repeatedly for water and ice. We were given water in a very small pitcher. I will not return to the Jade house.
Do not hesitate to stay with Joy and Alan. Thé location is convenient and is an very easy commute to/from the airport. Thé house is spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Great breakfast provided in the morning and coffee/tea always available. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and quiet. There is great air conditioning along with very nice natural air flow via easy to open windows. There is a nice yard/outside area and hammock. Internet/wifi is very fast. Joy and Alan are helpful with anything you’d possibly need, including great local recommendations. They know Martha's Vineyard well. I wish I could have stayed longer but will definitely stay again. Our centrally located neighborhood is a 15 minute car ride to almost anywhere on the Island. It is a family friendly, quiet location that is perfect for walking, biking and jogging. We are a short 10 minute car ride to Long Point Beach (ocean and pond). Nearby there is a fabulous bike path that goes safely from our West Tisbury home to Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs beaches and Edgartown (including State Beach and Katama South Beach).
The only way to get to Martha's Vineyard is by ferry or airplane. There are several ferry lines but only one allows cars (Steamship Authority). To bring a car in the summer for dates and times you prefer, reservations are required months in advance and are available starting mid January. Public transportation on Island is nearby with ready access to the Vineyard Transit Authority bus line that links the entire Island. Bus and boat tours, car and bike rentals, taxis and Uber/Lyft are available. However, Martha’s Vineyard’s beauty, sights and the many activities, restaurants and art in different towns are best experienced by car.

Having built our house 25 years ago and living full time here for 18 years we have explored many of the beaches, trails and sights of Martha’s Vineyard and still marvel at the beauty. We love to read, cook, travel, go to plays, movies, music and dance performances. We are happy to share our favorite places with you.
