We enjoyed our stay. We loved the screened in porch and the private dock and lake. Our family had a great time and Pat is a great host!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was great for our big family of 14 over New Years! The house was well stocked and made our stay so comfortable. Pat has everything well labeled and organized. Everything was easy to find. The place was great in winter and we could only image how great it would be in summer. We would be more than glad to stay here again.
Loved our time at the lake house. It was the perfect setting for our family to get together and spend some relaxing time in the mountains. The house had everything we needed and the comfortable beds were a welcome luxury after wearing ourselves out with the nearby hikes and walking around exploring Walhalla. Pat was a great host and communicated everything we needed ahead of time so our visit was a success. Will definitely stay here again!
Pat was a great host and her house is beautiful and just what we were looking for. Plenty of room for 7 of us and lots of places for us to sit together and socialize. I highly recommend this great host and great property.
We absolutely loved Mountain Rest and this house - the back porch was my favorite place to wake up and sip my coffee with the breeze off the lake. The state parks and local hikes were amazing. It was the fastest vacation I’ve had in a long time because we kept so busy.

After working at a university for 38 years, I'm a recent retiree hosting our family vacation home built by our grandfather in 1956. It's not fancy but it's a perfect getaway in a lovely, serene setting, and has been filled with laughter for five generations. We've enjoyed it all our lives, as have our children and grandchildren. We hope you create many happy memories here, too.
