The stone villa was lovely. It had all the charm and space as I expected. We loved touring the grounds and soaking up the atmosphere. There are 3 rooms upstairs in the house and then 2 more downstairs on the outside of the house. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. The Villa is extremely remote. It was lovely and we expected to be remote, but do your grocery shopping before you come. Otherwise, the closest grocery we found was in Spina. There is a “grounds keeper” but they are really just there for questions. They do come in the house, but they do not wash dishes or makeup beds - seems like maybe just come inside and check around to make sure you are following the rules. All in all, a very beautiful place.

Belinda’s property fell a little short for us for a couple of reasons but we did love the remote location, nestled in the mountains at the end of a long dirt road, and the locals we met in the nearby town with its one cafe/restaurant. It also felt central to visit the regions of Umbria. Unfortunately the house interior was what let it down - it is cluttered with old personal items, it has very little light or view points from inside, and is extremely dusty to the point that we had allergies. A little preparation would have also gone a long way - the fireplace was filled with ashes, and the firewood was left outside for us to gather. The kitchen is stocked well in terms of utensils, pots etc but there were too many old, opened packets of random things left behind. The house was dark and cold on arrival, and the on-site caretaker was not particularly friendly about us arriving, seeking annoyed that she didn’t know we were coming until 2 days before but we had booked months ago.

We stayed in late November. While beautiful, we left a night early as we simply found the house to be in a highly remote area, were fogged in most of our stay, and had some WiFi issues. The house manager was very kind and helpful.

This stay is absolutely breathtaking and picturesque. A fun location that is secluded and private. We enjoyed our week in this home and Maria the property’s caretaker was a great help along the way. Not much can beat such a remote beautiful location in Italy.

A lovely house in a beautiful location. Plenty of space and things to do for our 3-generation family, and we greatly appreciated the various outdoor seating areas which catch the sun or the shade at different times of day. We booked a special dinner prepared by Assunta: highly recommended and she is a delightful person. Maria was helpful, friendly and discreet, and it was useful to have her available on site. The house is well equipped and tastefully furnished. It felt like a home and we would have loved to stay for longer. The approach to it along non-tarmac roads is not for the fainthearted. we were glad to have a SUV, but the younger generation managed OK in small hired Fiats! The benefit of its remote location is the privacy, silence, lack of traffic and opportunities for walking around the tracks in the area. The highlight for me was listening to the wild boar feeding on fallen figs from the tree under our bedroom window.
