Debated not reviewing this property because I have never had to write a negative review before in all my times staying with AirBnB, or otherwise. Full disclosure, the host did offer and I received a $250 refund of my total $2000 paid. I planned this trip to take my elderly/sick parents and the three of us when I was younger have both stayed with Beach Properties and stayed in the condo building before. We've also stayed with other rental companies from the area in the same condo building. We have never had a single issue until this trip. Firstly, the location is beautiful and the condo has been beautifully renovated. It's painfully obvious after our trip though there may be some maintenance issues. The plumbing appears to have some issues as both of our toilets had a lot of issues flushing, and no they weren't being clogged by us. Maintenance had to come out more than once to help with the toilets. One actually completely overflowed after we got there and filled the entire bathroom and hallway (thankfully no solids in it at the time). We tried to wash the towels in the washing machine that we used to to clean up the toilet water but the washing machine flooded the laundry room and part of the kitchen. This issue wasn't resolved while we were there. They offered laundry service at one point but we never heard anything again until they just gave us the code to another condo on property where we could wash our linens. We had to walk all the way to another condo to do laundry which once again just isn't ideal for people trying to relax on vacation. The showers also drained slowly which seemed odd. While we were there the air conditioner wasn't really working well, and keep in mind this is October there so it was not hot at all. It wasn't even able to keep it at 68 when it was 66 outside. Finally, about three days in the air conditioner just completely stopped working and we had to call. They were able to get it fixed a day later but it wasn't without a lot of communication on our part. The first 4-5 days of the trip we were on the phone with different people from Beach Properties multiple times daily, which just isn't how one wants to spend their vacation. In the grand scheme of things the $250 really doesn't mean anything or make up for that. I could have understood one or even two of these issues occurring but it was just a lot; I've stayed in other AirBnBs that did have issues but haven't ever had to complain before. I don't think I've ever given something less than 4-5 stars. I highly recommend this area of HHI, the condo building, and this lovely time of year to go there, but I cannot say I will be personally using Beach Properties anymore. If you do stay though hopefully my family had all the bad luck and you'll have good luck!
