I had paid ₹6,860 for a two-day stay, but I ended up leaving after just one day due to a series of issues. several of the amenities that were listed were simply not present at "Bettathur Coorg Cottage." There was no barbecue grill, no kitchen, and the Wi-Fi connection was far from what was promised. This was particularly frustrating for me as I had planned to work from the property but couldn't due to the unreliable Wi-Fi. While the location itself was beautiful, the overall aesthetic of Cottage left much to be desired. The interior felt gloomy with dark-colored curtains and bed sheets, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. However, The room service provided by Mr. Kausik and the professionalism and friendliness of the restaurant incharge were commendable. The food was decent as well. In this price range, there are many other properties that offer a far better experience than this

This place is for those who are looking for a complete getaway from the city. Yes it is away from the main town but that was exactly what we wanted. The staff here are very courteous, koushik and Nandhi took care of our every need and they were very polite and helpful. Jayanth the cook here prepared meals that was tasty and gave us the feeling of home & peace. Sunil coordinated everything with us and made sure we got there safe We loved it here.

The drive to this place is adventurous. The host and the caretaker are very prompt in informing the location and the way to reach it from Madikeri. The ascent from Madikeri is not very risky. It will actually be good because of the bitumen road all the way till the property. The highlight of the stay will be Mr. Sunil the caretaker. He speaks english and hindi fluently. He put all efforts to make us feel at home. If you are planning to reach this place from talakaveri then you are in for a slight offroading experience. It was very good. But plan your travel before dawn, else it will be a bit scary. The only couple drawbacks i found were that the room i stayed (no.3) was not very clean. It had some stains on the wall. additionally, the hot water was a problem as well. In the early morning when the weather was very cold, we only received luke warm water which was not sufficiently hot.

The property is really well maintained and the caretaker Sunil is very helpful. the property is around 20 km away from Madikeri and don't have any restaurant nearby but they provide food on your request which is really tasty, specially their breakfast! when you go on top of the property you can see a boiler which they use to provide hot water in rooms. the idea is really good compare to the geyser but the only downside is, You have to ask them for hot water like around an hour ago. but overall the stay was really pleasant! The only cons I felt was the route. the property has an alternate route but it's not updated in map so they provide the route which is there in map and trust me, the route is like 10 kms of off-roading but once we reach there Sunil told us an alternative route which was a better way to reach Madikeri.
