Rebekah and Bunner were great host. The cabin is exactly as described and very comfy. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking. They deserve 10 stars!

This was a very LAST Minute booking. We booked, started packing, and headed out on our 5-hour drive. The cabin was perfect!!! Everything we needed to get away to ring in the New Year. We arrived after dark, but it was very easy to find. I'm a chef and found the kitchen stocked with everything a home cook would need to cook breakfast, lunch, & dinner just as you would at home. There was even a crockpot! (Noted for my next visit, slow cooker meals cooking while out playing!) They have a great local info guide, can't wait to come back in the warmer months to utilize the water taxi (when available). The cabin is located on Fort Gibson Lake. I know winter is not lake season, but I really enjoyed the solitude. The view of the lake is unobstructed because the trees are free of leaves. The nighttime sky is astonishing. Check out Natural Falls State Park. I'd use this as my home base for Illinois River float trips. The Dam Bar. Super dog friendly. I will come back. Thank you!

The bedroom loft area is rough to get in and out of for seniors and others who are hindered somewhst physically. Plus the heater blows hot air right into face of person on left side of bed. After the first night we moved to the hideaway sofa bed downstairs. With temps in the 20s at night the heater failed to keep the downstairs area warm enough. However, I’m sure it would have been warm enough if we had used the fireplace. The location is terrific and overall we had a good experience.
