Very nice unit in a great location. Picking up dropping keys was an inconvenience. And, there only 1 set of keys between 4 adults (2 couples) which was difficult to coordinate when we were not all together. There was no hand wash in bathrooms, so you to bring all showering products with you. No milk or anything for coffees. Comparing to hotel stay, you just need to do more yourself, like your make own beds etc. I'm starting to realise Airbnb just doesn't give that extra service and price is comparable (sometimes more expensive). It is a very clean, convenient place stay.

The location was perfect. It was walkable to IGA Express, the beach and some restaurants/cafes. There was also plenty of parking around the apartment. Although “self check-in” was listed, we were instructed to pick up the keys from the office (10mins drive away from the apartment). Unfortunately, we were given the wrong set of keys and had to make another trip back to the office. Upon arrival, the place was spacious and bright. We noticed the floor and quilt covers on beds was quite sandy. We had to place the quilt cover into the wash upon arriving. We used the outdoor dining area and the BBQ grill during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful time but some improvements could have made our stay more enjoyable. We strongly suggest clean freshly made beds upon arrival (perhaps include this in the cleaning fee), clean floor, a hairdryer and adequate detergent for the dishwasher.

The Shoal, is a modern clean and stylish apartment block, one street back from the beach which makes it nice and quiet but still right in the thick of Shoal Bay and a 3min walk to the beach. The apartment itself had all the facilities, was very modern, well-appointed and clean. We had an amazing week, chilling in the apartment, then dashing over to the beach for a swim several times a day as well as regular visits the Country Club. Being able to walk to the restaurants on the main strip of Shoal Bay, was great, and also a longer walk or short drive around to Fingal Bay or Nelson Bay.

An amazing holiday stay with Winning Holidays! They now have thoughtful and wonderful amenities (taking on feedback from previous reviews). We were provided with all necessary kitchen facilities including tea and coffee making facilities, BBQ and linen. A lovely, stylish and clean apartment to stay at!
