This cute little cabin in La Pena was one of my favorite places in Colombia! It’s on the grounds of a wonderful hostel, where you can meet rock climbers and adventure enthusiasts. The cabin was perfect for a few nights for two people. It has its own semi-outdoor bathroom, electricity and a porch, and you feel like an elf living in the woods. The hostel has a great restaurant & you can also hike, rock climb, and visit the nearby Casa en Aire. I found everyone here super nice and helpful, and would love to visit here again one day. One note is that most people will need to park about 1/2 mile away at the small general store “Tienda La 80”. If you have a very capable 4x4 or are a local Colombian on a small motorcycle used to riding steep and wet mountain roads, you might make it up the “driveway”. But with my motorcycle I found it too dangerous, and later also learned that most motorcycles know to park at the store. If you’re coming by bus you walk up the driveway too.

It is important to say that this is not glamping, but really more of an outdoor camp. There is only cold water in the shower, the sink is outside on the terrace and the house cannot be locked. It only has a roll-up door. From the driveway you have to walk uphill about 600 m. On the other hand, it's a wonderful place where they grow coffee. They made us an excellent breakfast which we hadn't counted on (included) and there is a nice view. It's only a 10 minute walk from Casa en el Aire where we spent Saturday. There are 3 cottages but there is also space for tents and there is a hostel in the main building with some rooms and a shared kitchen and wifi you can use. When there are a lot of people there (Saturday) it can get noisy - music, alcohol, loud laughter. On the other hand, if you love climbing, hiking, adrenaline and want to meet new people, you will love it! We really enjoyed the weekend. Thanks.

La Peña est l’endroit parfait pour quiconque en quête de paix et de tranquillité. Louisa et Andres sont des hôtes hors pair. La cabane est très jolie, propre, procure le nécessaire et offre une vue imprenable sur la cordillère. Des activités de plein air sont offertes sur place ou à proximité. Bonus: le café de la place est délicieux ! Somme toute, une expérience magique, nous en sommes très reconnaissante, merci !!

Excelente lugar, el host siempre atento a cualquier cosa. Estuvo en comunicación constantemente conmigo para la llegada ya que es un poco dificil! Pero me brindo varias alternativos y disfrutamos una agradable instancia

Un lugar muy lindo, hermosos paisajes, la atención de Andres y Luisa espectacular, las cabañas muy lindas, un lugar para descansar y disfrutar de un bello atardecer, la llegada es algo difícil por el estado de la carretera, en estos momentos no cuenta con la venta de alimentos por lo tanto es necesario aprovisionarse de alimentos ya que en los alrededores no se encuentran lugares para comprar.
