We had a perfect, peaceful stay at this beautiful and uncrowded part of southern France, surrounded by rolling hills and the backdrop of the majestic Pyrenees . Communication was welcoming and friendly prior to arrival which placed us at ease when we met hosts, Sandrine and David. Their efforts to speak English and ours to speak French meant we could converse and, on arrival, we had cake and coffee together. We were made to feel at home instantly. The beds were super comfy and we slept very well. The shower was good and there is great compact kitchen to cook in. On a night, the wood burner is warm and comforting. We spent one day at the chalet in the sun chilling and reading. For the rest of the time the location was a perfect place to explore. Lasseube is a friendly and very French village with a great bar and restaurant. Further afield we visited Pau, Tarbes, Saint Gaudens, Luchon , Biarritz and Sans Sebastián. Nothing was too much trouble for Sandrine and she was so helpful.

We loved coming to lasseube and staying in Sandrine’s house. It’s a comfortable cabin in the woods! No problem getting anywhere from here. We will certainly come back at our next opportunity! Thank you Sandrine!
