We really had a wonderful time at Benjamin's place! The vicinity of the ski slope was ideal for us , as we went skiing all days. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed various dinners in the apartment. The photos give a realistic impression of the nicely modernized interior of the house. One thing we did not realize in advance was the fact that this being a very old house, windows are quite small and, as a result, it is relatively dark in the apartment. However, this did not matter for us that much as we arrived relatively late every day and it was starting to be dark outside anyhow.

The location on the slope under the castle is magical! The apartment is perfectly arranged and very well equiped. Every location in Val Gardena is accessible by short car ride of 3 to 15 minutes. We even walked to the nearest cable car through the woods which was a relative easy and beautiful walk.

Benjamin’s place is a separate home that belongs to and is located on the property of the Wolkenstein (aka Fishburg) Castle, which has a pretty interesting history (look it up). The location is fantastic, walking distance from the town of St. Christina but at the same time you feel like you are staying in your own home on the mountain far away from the crowds; close to both Monte Pana/Sassolungo area and Col Raiser (we were here in the summer and the hiking and biking opportunities are amazing - in winter the skiing must be awesome). Kathryn, the host (she and her family live a bit further down the hill) is very friendly and helpful, and if you are in luck, you may be invited to a private tour of the castle (highly recommended, as mentioned it is a pretty fascinating place). The house itself has all modern amenities (good WiFi - I had to do some remote work) and is comfortable, with some early 20th century Venetian touches (furniture etc), and family friendly. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay. Perfect location for access to the slopes every day. Would stay here again!
