This was our second time staying at Denise and Ken's place, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The unit is spacious, clean and cozy with easy access to nature, delicious local eateries and the metro. The washing machine and dryer are AMAZING, I have never had such a satisfying laundry experience. Denise and Ken are welcoming and responsive hosts. Would definitely recommend for long-term stays.

The Enchanted Forest AirBNB was a peaceful place to spend late September and early October. A neighbor was having some work done on their house, so there were a few construction sounds during the day, but otherwise, the location was very quiet. The views out of the windows into the trees were soothing. The neighborhood was nice to walk around in. Rock Creek park is nearby and several times I walked or rode my bike along Beach Drive, which is closed to traffic. Ken is an architect and added the apartment onto the original house -- he designed many features into it, including interesting curved walls. Denise was very accommodating when I needed to do my laundry and was very flexible with my check-out. Both Denise and Ken were quiet and friendly folks. I would recommend the AirBNB to anyone looking for a longer stay in a very peaceful part of Washington DC.

Denise is a top-rated host. The apartment, located in the basement and directly facing the forest in the DC urban area, is one of the most comfortable and beautiful places I have ever been to. The host was super responsive, friendly, and paid attention to every possible need and request. The place is clean, comfortable and provided with everything needed. Laundry is onsite upon request, and this place is great for long stays to explore and work in the DC area. Public transit (bus and metro) are 0.8 miles away, a 15-minute walk. I definitely recommend the host and the place.

Truly an enchanted forest, as advertised. Working from home at your desk isn’t so bad when a group of deer are chilling right outside your window. The location is perfect for observing all kinds of wildlife – deer, songbirds, squirrels, hawks, chipmunks, raccoons, foxes, wild turkeys, owls and woodpeckers. The human hosts were lovely as well. Denise and Ken were thoughtful, accommodating hosts who helped us feel right at home. All of our communications were smooth and efficient, and we appreciated their responsiveness and flexibility in accommodating our needs. The unit was very spacious, yet cozy. It felt much more like an actual home than a staged rental unit, which we loved. The kitchenette was well-equipped, and we enjoyed cooking many meals during our stay. The surrounding neighborhood is extremely safe, and the metro station is only a 15-minute walk away. Overall, we highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you again to Ken and Denise for hosting us!
