This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Very spacious living and outdoor spaces. As a group of 4 adults the layout meant we all had our own room with privacy and the outdoor pizza oven was the perfect social space for us to enjoy building pizza together (note that it took us longer than we thought to make pizza so if you don’t want to eat late build the fire early!) and looking at the full moon with binoculars was a lovely experience too! The house was nice and dry in the heavy rain the following day, with nice big overhang on the upstairs deck so I could stand outside and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and birdsong even in the rain. The journey there was part of the adventure with half our group going by boat and quad bike with mark (very helpful host) and half the group by rav4. Mark will help you plan your arrival, so listen to his advice and communicate with him is my advice. It’s a bit remote so takes a bit more planning but definitely worth it!

Private location if you want to get away from the hassle. Landscape could do with a trim up so you can see the view from the spa etc. lots of space for large group, bbq wasn’t working on one side but made do! Loved the pizza oven outside and host was very effective with communication and helpful throughout the stay! Will be back one day!

Mark was an excellent communicator and very friendly. His response time was second to none and very helpful with local knowledge. The location was very peaceful and great views.

We had a lovely time staying at this magical home with beautiful views across the harbour. Mark is a great host - helpful and responsive. A 4-wheel drive is best to manage the driveway; Mark was also happy to ferry us to and from Raglan in his boat.

Mark is a great host. He answered questions immediately and easily. The entire stay was something special, and Mark rounded it off brilliantly with his way of communicating.
