We adored our stay at Whispertree! Truly peaceful to be among the trees, hear the babbling brooks and streams, and walk along the paths of flowers and grasses. I booked for a big birthday, and we loved having such a thoughtful cozy space (and so many bathrooms!) We cooked together in the kitchen, gathered for crafts & food at the dining tables, picnicked outdoors, and talked into the night in the comfy living room all together at different points of the day, but could still split off to take a breather as needed. Comfy nooks everywhere! You know you’re in a wonderful spot when you’re comfortable & content staying in with friends. We kept the fireplace burning all day during our all rainy day, warming up in the oh-so-perfect hot tub, and in the lovely outdoor showers after drizzly hikes on the grounds. During our sunny warm day, a nearby Hendy Woods State Park stroll stunned the out-of-towners! Such a special place that felt immediately inviting, and I would love to come back again.

The Toll House and Bunkhouse is an absolute dream of a getaway. The house is impeccably equipped with every amenity we could imagine - robes and towels for the hot tub, a kitchen ready with equipment needed to cook for a crowd, comfy beds, space heaters for chilly rooms, pristine dishes, books and games, and space to move around. The design and decor was tasteful and clean. The surroundings are beautiful and well-maintained. We spent a magical family gathering at this retreat center and hope to return again.

We loved staying here! It was the perfect getaway for 4 families. So nice for adults and kids to have separate spaces - adults in the main toll house and kids in the bunk house. Well outfitted kitchen where we cooked most meals, lots of great outdoor space, awesome hot tub and outdoor shower, swimming hole a couple miles away. There wasn’t much to do in Boonville / nearby, so we were very happy to be staying in such a nice space. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Absolutely stunning property. The house was so clean and cozy, the hot tub was incredible, and we loved walking around all the trails. So much to see and do. We hope to return!

House is gorgeous, space is expansive and well stocked, everything was comfortable and we had a great time. Kendra was incredibly accommodating and did not get in our way at all. The pond is a bit of a hike but is totally worth it.
