You can't beat the location, especially if you're taking a class at John C. Campbell Folks School! Jeanne has a lovely spot nestled amongst the trees just a stone's throw from the school. And pets are allowed too! Jeanne was a great host -- very responsive and friendly -- and takes pride in her home, which is decorated with her lovely stained glass creations. My 20-year-old Prius navigated the driveway like a champ!

Jeane was a wonderful host and hers was the perfect place to stay while visiting the nearby folk school. The space was lovely and perfectly clean. We appreciated the frig, microwave, and coffee amenities. Jeane is friendly and very responsive. I would most definitely stay with her again!

Jeanne was a welcoming host. Her place is a wonderful get away in nature while also being incredibly convenient to attending classes or events at John C Campbell Folk School. Her beautiful stained glass work throughout is inspiring for any art lover. She also loves to bake and was generous sharing some delicious treats. Everything was clean and orderly, including kitchen basics. The driveway was a breeze for my Subaru; you just have to brave it the first time and then it’s no trouble. I saw deer and rabbits too. I hope to return soon. The area seems to have lots to explore and would be great for leaf peepers.

Jeanne was a fantastic host. She provided excellent, pro-active communication throughout. The place was spotless and looked just like the pictures. The bed and room was very comfortable and had great AC! Jeanne asked me what temperature I'd like, which was above and beyond to me. It was great to have a mini-fridge in the room. (Jeanne provided scones but I didn't have them since I was on a special diet.) It was a short and easy 4 minute drive to The Folk School where I was taking weekend classes. I was nervous about the steep gravel driveway, since I didn't have prior have experience with that kind of driving but Jeanne sent some pictures per my request, advised me on how to navigate/drive, and coordinated with me re times she'd be on the driveway. There was never anyone coming the other way when I was on the driveway and it was less intimidating after I did it a few times. Jeanne's place is a great value! Pro-tip: bring eyeshades if you are light sensitive and want to sleep late.

This was a very comfy place to spend the night. We liked the set-up, how you entered the main door of the property and found yourself in a shared lobby area with our room's entrance off to one side. The bed was very nice; we loved the nice sheets and the plush pillows. The bathroom was spacious, too. We always feel obligated to inform others in our reviews when the heating/air conditioning controls are not available to guests, because we know that, for many, that is a deal-breaker, so we feel it is right to mention here that the thermostat isn't something you have access to. That said, when we mentioned to our hosts that our room was a little chilly, she promptly turned up the heat for us, and the room quickly became very comfortable. We would totally stay here again!
