Nisala Arana is absolutely magical. It is a beautiful estate with a wonderful history and beautiful architecture and garden design. The estate is seamlessly built into the nature around it, with so much wildlife to enjoy wherever you turn your head to look. Saliye and the rest of the staff are lovely, attentive and super friendly. Karu, the chef, made us two delicious dinners and a traditional Sri Lankan new years breakfast that was just amazing. Our family of 11 had some of our best memories in Nisala Arana and for that we are most grateful. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for the nature and garden lovers.

Words can’t describe the experience we had at Nisala Arana. It was one of the greatest group villa accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. The villa itself is on an enormous, gated ground with incredible nature, air conditioned rooms, and an amazing pool and entertaining space. You will see flora and fauna in abundance - monkeys, exotic birds, and lizards. Truly feels like you’re in your own tropical paradise. Benjamin and the 24/7 attentive staff were an absolute joy to interact with. They were all incredibly responsive and would help with anything from tuk tuk bookings to airport transfers all the way back to Colombo. The food cooked on premises was delicious and easy to organise with the villa’s dedicated chef. Ultimately, this is the perfect place for a group of friends if you want to enjoy the stunning surrounding regions of Sri Lanka. I couldn’t recommend this villa more. Thank you Benjamin, Saliya, Karu and the nisala arana team for an incredible stay!

Benjamin was an incredible host to our group! We arrived at 2am and he was there to meet us and to make sure we felt right at home. The staff were also extremely flexible with regards to timing of meals and also shopping for meals. The accommodation is a classic Sri Lankan homestead with a lot of character. Its immersed in nature so naturally there was some "wildlife" around which was to be expected. All in all, our group had an incredible time and we cant wait to come back.

This Airbnb is a treat to visit and stay! The staff were so accommodating, cooked amazing meals and went out their way to help us. The property itself is peaceful, large and kept beautifully. I couldn’t fault a thing.

Such a beautiful place with the loveliest crew who made us feel utterly at home and welcome from the moment we got there! Siri, Karu and Raymond were attentive to our needs and went above and beyond our expectations. Karu's cooking was delicious (especially his black pork curry)... we ate and ate and ate... The spaces were beautiful and traditional with all the necessary modern requirements. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
