Superbe séjour au gite Above the Gulf ! Vivre sur place est encore plus magnifique que les photos ! Vraiment au coeur de la jungle en pleine communion avec la nature. Et vraiment une faune exceptionnelle! Lors de nos 4 jours: agoudis, coatis, quelques singes Spider, de multiples oiseaux (dont un Quetzal qui chantait chaque matin!). Mais le clou: une quinzaine de singes capucins qui nous ont fait le spectacle pendant 20 min à courir sur les toits et à sauter dans les branches.

An absolutely beautiful home with gorgeous patio and view. Very spacious and suited three couples perfectly. An optional breakfast minutes away by foot at a lovely location was also a nice touch. I wish we had more time to stay longer.

We loved our stay at Above the Gulf house! It feels very private and secluded but is a quick drive to town (4x4 needed). The house and view are incredible. High quality and gorgeous woodwork, huge windows with a view toward the gulf, great sunset views. We were visited by a family or coati multiple times per day, plus agouti and lots of birds. They offer breakfast at the nearby park at a reasonable cost, and were able to enjoy this on our last day before checking out. Communication was outstanding. Very friendly and quick to respond. Highly recommend staying at this home, which is owned and run by a local family.

Fantastic place! The views are stunning, especially for sunset. Daniela was very helpful with everything and provided great recommendations / helped to organize our night walk tour. 10/10 would recommend!

Read this review: This house is a gem nestled within amazing Monteverde. If you are adventurous enough to make the trek to this part of the world, take it just a bit further to find this wonderful hideaway. Daniela, the host, provided a quirky but helpful video to describe what to look for to find the house. Daniela was super attentive, letting us know where the nearest grocer and gas station are (just a couple minutes from the house). More importantly, she helped us with recommendations and reservations, and connected us with George, a FANTASTIC guide that we used for several excursions. George recommended Tree House for dinner and Resturante Parrillero (get the shrimp pizza!!). Daniel recommended Salvatura Adventure Park for suspension bridges and they were top notch. Like this house, Daniela and George are Grade A. Put your trust in them all.
