A fantastic long weekend here, and at such short notice the place was spotlessly clean. A beautiful cozy cottage packed with character, perfect base for a couple or family trip. Would 100% recommend, and will be sure to revisit. Thanks.
We have returned home after a fantastic family stay here over the Easter break. The cottage exceeded our expectations, it was spotless and the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring. Codefa Bach, is a charming small cottage reasonably well equipped which is clean and tidy. Use of the local spa facilities was a welcome addition and which is also clean and well kept. A nice listing for a short break.

自我介绍
Hi my name is Beth Evans. My husband and I have owned Coedfa House and Coedfa Bach for 23 yrs. I am a first language Welsh speaker and immensely proud. We took several years to refurbish Coedfa after it had been tampered with in an un-sympathetic manner. We then enjoyed living at the property for 5 years. Having our wedding party at the property with string quartet playing on the lawns as well as our youngest son born at Coedfa. This place has a very special place in our hearts for us both. Coedfa Bach sleeps 4 (was the old servants quarters) which has been trading as a holiday cottage for 22 years and Coedfa House sleeps 8 has been a holiday house for 17 years. You can book both properties which sleeps 12 in total. Coedfa is a Victorian Property built in 1840 and was know as an Estate house or Coedfa Hall in its time. With the old bell system still in place, if only the walls could talk! Having a walled kitchen garden to the back of the property, behind an outbuilding which is now a pretty cottage with separate ownership. Coedfa Estate owned the woodland for several miles towards Pentrefoelas (now under separate ownership). There were once five servants living at the property serving a lawyer and his wife! (A housemaid, groom, gardner, cook and a parlour maid) Now Coedfa has an acre of gardens which lies to either side of the property and a large gravelled courtyard to the front. Plenty of room for 6 cars. The garden comprises of patios, lawned, terraces, stream, rockery, woodland, azalea garden, rhododendron section and a nook with a fire pit and fairy lights. There are many beautiful trees and established shrubs within this area. The house is very grand, spacious with large rooms and high ceilings. Coedfa Bach is quaint, quirky, cosy and charming. Coedfa looks down onto the famous Thomas Telford, Waterloo Bridge and up towards the magnificent Lledr valley and the river Llugwy and the Gwydir Forestry towards Elsie Lake (one of many lakes around us) The property is a short walk to the bustling village centre of Betws Y Coed, with its hustle bustle activities from independent, tasteful fashionable shops to an abundance of choice for outdoor gear. A selection of eateries from bars, Inns, cafes and restaurants. Delicatesen and a bakery to name but a few. The walks from Coedfa are spectacular, from riverside flat walks to hill walking to the various lakes. Then a short drive or bus journey to the magnificent mountains and an abundance of choice of walks/climbs. The activities around us are plentiful for all ages, abilities and tastes.
