We are happy with the home, and responsiveness of the host. We are a group of 9 family members (including 2 children). We planned to visit a family friend in Palakkad and planned some sightseeing as well. Initially, we were confused about the distance between Palakkad town and the home. But yes, it takes roughly 40+ minutes to reach Palakkad town. The host messaged us the details about the home, distance, who to reach, exact location, etc, it was super helpful. The caretaker was also a very polite man, he suggested a few places to visit during our stay. The host called us in the evening to ensure everything was fine and suggested a few sightseeing options. In the evening we had a bit of a walk to the Bharathapuzha River, which is very nearby (5-minute walk). We also visited Ananganmala Eco-Tourism (1hr drive) and a scenic viewpoint under the Mayannur bridge. We didn't spend much time at the home except for the night, but it was a quiet place and we enjoyed the stay.

This place is so calm and serene with great neighborhood...the river and temple in walkable distance is a don't miss...we had a nice bath in the river and it's so refreshing..mr.Kuttan Nair was very helpful and punctual in arranging food and other items for us. I highly recommend this place for a nice holiday to recharge yourself

It was very peaceful place to stay, we came in as a group of 8 people and loved every bit of the stay. So peaceful and closer to the river. Aunty had all things ready for us before we went there, she even gave us the details of all the drivers for easy travel in and around. Overall, a beautiful property and a great stay. Highly recommend.

it is a beautiful and serene place for the price. however it is not well maintained by the caretakers there. too dusty with spider webs everywhere. we only used one room as both the other rooms had a huge spider there. we also saw 2 huge cockroachs in the hall. caretaker kuttan nair did not give us privacy at all. we went there for a holiday and he used to ring the bell and wake us up at 7 30 on both days of our stay. do not buy food from the care taker for 3 people we paid 170 for groceries and 300 on top of that for very very basic, not so good veg food. looting money. outside we had yummy fish meals for 300 with fish fry which is nominal. while we left he also pestered us for some tips while airbnb already charged us for cleaning and service additionally. poor service overall. I don't blame Sreekala it's tough to manage such a huge place without being near by. but there is a beautiful river and a Shiva temple at walkable distance. which compensated for the issues we had. we loved it
