Great little bolthole for a weekend. Within easy reach of Shaftesbury, and also Shear Water (which is lovely for a stroll). Louis provided excellent instructions for finding The Retreat - it's on a track off the main road. As others have said, VERY peaceful despite being next to the road. Loads of space, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Great WiFi, great shower, very comfy bed - what's not to love! Louis was very helpful and quick to communicate both before and during our stay.

We had a very pleasant stay the accommodation was clean and tidy with plenty of room the garden was beautiful Louis was very helpful when we had a slight problem with the TV He was also very good at communication he gave us clear instructions on how to find the place (as it is tucked away from the road) would definitely recommend if you like a nice peaceful break with beautiful countryside views

a very spacious comfortable property with everything I needed for my stay. It was very quiet despite being close to the road and set in a beautiful garden. Louis was always very helpful and friendly whenever we saw each other and local amenities are close by in Shaftesbury.

Our stay at Louis place was so wonderful. We loved the peaceful area and the natural beauty of the countryside had lots of great walks and local pubs. Louis was so kind and helpful, gave really clear instructions and kept checking in with us as there was limited transport options in the area, Louis provided us local taxi numbers. Thanks
