Enjoy outside living and a rustic way of life? Our lovely Gypsy Caravan gives you the opportunity to experience it first hand, positioned on the edge of woodland in a secluded part of our garden you'll wake to the sound of the countryside ! The property has easy access to local footpaths. We are situated in a semi-rural location on the edge of the New Forest, close to the town of Romsey and the cities of Salisbury, Southampton and Winchester, ideal location to go exploring. Our cosy caravan has a pull-out double bed, 2m long, 1.2m wide. The potbelly stove is purely cosmetic. An electric hook-up is connected for lighting inside. The wood fired chiminea and tripod fire pit with grill are at your disposal for heating and cooking, (logs included), with a single ring camping gas stove also available. The seating area is situated on the private lawn area with a shade sail provided on request. An outside sink and the shower within the cabin have hot and cold running water, with a composting toilet facility in the cabin. Some Wi-Fi access available. We can offer the option for additional guests to camp in a 2 person tent on request. A breakfast basket is also available, price on request.

Utterly fabulous, unending charm
We had the most perfect stay at The Stopping Place. Steve and Amanda were so friendly and have made such a beautiful place and the extra little touches were so appreciated. It’s a little piece of peaceful heaven, cosy, serene and with everything we needed. Everything is very clean and a lovely warm shower. The later check out was also very welcomed so we could spend as much time soaking up the surroundings. This really is a special place and we will definitely return one day. A must visit for everyone looking for a quiet, unique Air B&B.
We had the loveliest night staying at Stephen and Amanda’s beautiful gypsy hut - our only complaint was that we wished we’d booked to stay for longer because it was just amazing there! They have gone above and beyond with the facilities they provide during your stay and are also the loveliest hosts, we felt very well taken care of and will definitely be coming back at our soonest opportunity… Thankyou so much :)
Honestly the most memorable place I have stayed with my 2 year old. She absolutely loved it as did I. Was close to peppa pig world (15mims) so suited us perfectly! Stephen was soo helpful and welcoming and even helped us set up a fire! I went with the impression it was going to be like camping but there was a shower and toilet and the actual bed was very comfortable and cosy. Stephen and Amanda have provided such a lovely experience with this wagon, I will be sure to recommend! Thank you!
