It was an awesome house and they were very attentive. It’s not a 5 star hotel but the price matches the stay. Perfect location, beach access was amazing and we had everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Wifi worked great. Nice front porch and and upper deck. Sunsets were amazing.

The communication leading up to our stay was very good. I messaged the host on the first night; the messages were responded to promptly and professionally. The issue that could be addressed timely definitely was. Unfortunately, many of the issues with the home are not something that could be easily addressed; some of them seem to be recurring in other reviews as well so I don’t believe there are plans to address them. We can usually overlook a lot of things; this house makes it difficult to do so. As stated in other reviews, there are no window coverings for the front door or 1st floor bathroom window. This is very unnerving at night. The host advised this is normal and it does not seem that they are going to change this. We made due with towels and trash bags. Not really the vibe we were hoping for. The beds do not have sheet sets; there are only flat sheets, no fitted sheets. The bed becomes very messy through the night, as the flat sheets come undone and you are left sleeping directly on the mattress. The mattresses seem dated and very well worn. A mattress pad would go a long way. They aren’t completely uncomfortable, but several of us woke up with new aches and pains. There were not enough pillows for all of the beds available in the house and not all of the available pillows had pillow cases. This is part of what was conveyed to the host on our first night and more pillows and pillow cases were delivered the next day. The pillows were still very low quality, but with enough of them stacked up, it was a passable effort. There were also no additional blankets to be found anywhere in the house. After completing our grocery shopping, we discovered that the microwave does not work as it should. We ended up having to add additional cooking time and it did not cook evenly. The listing says that there is a downstairs living room. There is not. There is definitely ROOM for one, but it is just an open space with no furnishings. Be prepared to take air fresheners or candles, as the house has a very unpleasant odor that smacks you in the face each time you leave and come back. Some additional items that we reported that would make the house more enjoyable - I hope the host is willing to address some of these for future guests. The house just isn’t an inviting beach house. There were little to no decorations. Even just a few beachy touches and coordinated decorations, would go a long way. Provide Hangers in the closets and fix the 1st floor dresser. Clean the carpets or replace with more beach friendly flooring. Treat for spiders!! Maybe they do but there were quite a few.

As noted by other guests this cottage is in a wonderful location but is in desperate need of cleaning. Also be aware that the downstairs bathroom and the front door do not have any coverings for nighttime privacy.

Great place for the family and good location. Like others stated, the view is not accurate but it is very close to the lake. Enjoyed our time!

Location is good. Beach area is nice. House is average - needs a deep clean. Not well maintained - no mattress pads - bedding tore - backup bedding in closets not usable (stained, old, tore), no can opener. Shed and basement left with trash/old items that need to be thrown out.
