This is a beautiful cabin in the woods! It is quite spacious with high ceilings, great fireplaces, a well-kept hot tub, and the pool table was a nice touch. Frank met us in person for a tour, which was great. Our family of nine loved being here for Mother’s Day weekend (the cabin holds seven, but we put two on the swing beds on the porch which were very cool, and Frank generously allowed us to do this). He picked up the trash whenever we asked, and brought more firewood. We loved being close to great hiking trails, Asheville, a wonderful homemade ice cream spot in Fairview, and we loved the mountain road up to the cabin. It would’ve been good to know that the house is not stocked with anything extra. We made a trip to target to purchase placemats, cloth napkins, and a tablecloth for the outdoor picnic table. (I would have brought my own, had I known). We have chefs in the family, and the kitchen met their basic needs.

I really don't enjoy giving a poor review but this was not my favorite place. Things we liked: Outdoor fireplace, neighborhood was mostly quiet (I did hear someone doing target practice. It is the hills of NC, I guess.) Things we disliked: I have a really hard time paying several hundred dollars a night to then be given so few "items" at the house. We were left with a dirty (and mildewy) sponge to clean the dishes. I had to buy my own dish rags. There were no napkins. There are only 6 mugs! We were given enough dishwasher pods to run the dishwasher once a day. With 6 of us eating there, we need more than that. Then the house is not particularly clean. There is dust absolutely caked to the curtain that hangs above the stove, directly above where I was making food. The upstairs shower has mold in it, the washing machine smells terrible and is full of mold as well. Frank is a lovely person but I did not want the hassle of meeting him in person after we drove 7 hours.

Frank is very accommodating. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the house was perfect for our needs. The driveway is very steep but we didn't have any issues with it but it was a little intimidating for people not used to mountain driving. It was quiet and peaceful and the kitchen was fully stocked which was wonderful since we cooked a number of times at the house and its not really close to a places to eat. We grilled out and used the hot tub a number of times and enjoyed that as well as relaxing on the swinging porch beds. We enjoyed our stay!

Place was exactly how it was described! Beautiful house and property with everything to offer. It was very clean and the host responds with any questions right away. Would definitely stay again!
