The place is actually better than the pictures. Frances is a major player in keeping her home clean and tidy and she happily and faithfully prepared breakfast each day despite any outside situation that may have been experienced. The place is lovely and so incredibly clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the room was also lovely. I really enjoyed my stay and heading out each day to explore many beautiful places and things.

The location is stellar. Our room had a nice view and clean. Breakfast with the other guests was lovely Valentia was a wonderful place to explore. The room pictured in the listing is not what we were given, but the room given was good so I didn’t ask about it. Small with the size of the beds but very comfortable beds and clean linens. As a host, Frances seemed tired of us as guests before we arrived, having made a side trip to the Ireland Stud Farm (horses ; ) ) when we learned of it on our way from Dublin. We let her know we would be later than our original check in time, but within the checkin window—3 to 7 or 8pm. As guests, we found her all business on arrival. Then us leaving the heat off and window open for sleep didn’t help redeem us as it got windy. We felt like naughty guests—whom slept like logs apparently. It’s a lovely place all around. Great location. Frances really seemed to enjoy the other guests. ; ). The light breakfast and strong coffee were good.

Frances was an incredible host. Reactive and attentive to details, we couldn’t have ask for more. The B&B is at a walking distance from Portmagee, which is great if you plan to go to Skellig Micheal. The view is also amazing.
