The hostel was very clean and spacious. We booked a bunk room for 5 females which came with an ensuite bathroom, really clean, which was great. The arrival time was anytime before 9.30 pm which was good and Shaun gave us a little tour with instructions on keys/kitchen etc. Despite being next to the A1 and to a very good pub, it was very quiet at night. Shaun was very friendly, and we were really impressed that he rustled up full English breakfasts for 7 of us despite only requesting it at 9pm the night before, and him having no staff to call on at that late time...he donned his pinny and made superb breakfasts that kept us going all day. Beautiful views of Holy island too.

Eat and Sleep was a peaceful hostel hosted by the super-helpful and friendly Shaun, who provided me with a tour of the local area and gave recommendations for my stay. I had the dormitory to myself (with it being the off-season) so my evenings were calm and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom and heating immediately available to me for a very reasonable price. The space was clean, spacious and exactly as described. Also, a bus service into Berwick was immediately available across from the hostel, which was convenient. Overall, I'd recommend!

The place was great, stayed there for a night whilst cycling and Shaun was very helpful and accommodating! The whole place was really warm which was great and the cafe had a fab breakfast!

Outstanding location on the coastal path and right on the causeway to the Holy Isle. I stayed in the hostel which was modern, warm, clean and comfortable (bonus I had the entire room plus en suite to myself). Shaun was kind and generous, I would love to stay again.

Good price for a bed on the doorstep of Holy Island. Shaun is an incredible host - very friendly. The hostel was very clean. Would recommend 👍🏼
