Hacienda San Bernardo is magical: quiet and peaceful, well preserved and lovingly maintained, just charming. Our entire week was memorable. The birthday fiesta for 25 people was perfectly executed, with an excellent dinner. The pool is lovely, the grounds are extensive and gorgeous. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We felt like royalty, amidst all the history. Five-star!

We held our wedding in the amazing property. It is simply out of the world. Stunning gardens, pool and historic rooms. Eating under the orange trees with our family and friends and swimming while watching shooting stars fly by were experiences we will remember forever. Cristal was super helpful and the cleaning staff were excellent. The groundskeeper took the children to stroke orphaned dear and brought us fresh oranges and finger limes from the trees. Outstanding.

We had a wonderful time staying here with our four children, beautiful house, inside and out, lovely swimming pool, very helpful housekeeper too, highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at San Bernardo was absolutely spot on and amazing. The hacienda was more beautiful than the photos indicated, and so steeped in history! The rooms were wonderful and very clean , particularly the old wing, whilst the new wing is not so grand but still nice. The shower, if alot of people staying, can be a little temperamental, but it is to be expected and with some goodwill, you'll be fine. By the way, sitting by the fire in the great hall at night, with a fire burning, is something that just has to be experienced. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do not speak English, so that could be a problem for some, but with hand gestures and pidgin English/Spanish it's amazing what you can achieve. The place is incredibly remote, and you feel like stepping back in time. The internet is a bit temperamental and there is no network cover, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise as people socialised rather than checked their phones! The village of Hornachuelos is very sweet, but stack up on groceries before arriving as the shops in the village are small and local. I would also particularly recommend having the staff make dinner once or twice when you're there as their food is amazing and very reasonably priced. All in all, our holiday could not have been better. If you are looking for something special, then this is definitely the place!

Cristal, ha sido un fin de semana inolvidable. La Hacienda te atrapa desde el primer minuto. Te recibe el aroma a azahar, y te acoge un edificio tranquilo y lleno de vivencias. Cualquiera de sus rincones es especial, pero la chimenea de la entrada ha sido la que ha conquistado al grupo. Diría que es obligatorio dar un paseo por la finca con Juan Manuel. Además de encantador, nos ha llevado por caminos maravillosos, y hemos llegado hasta rincones secretos absolutamente sorprendentes. En algunos momentos, pensabas que estabas en una selva tropical. En resumen, el campo un espectáculo. María José y Loli nos han conquistado. Han hecho que todo haya sido perfecto, en todo momento encantadoras. Nos han obsequiado con postres improvisados, preparados con todo el cariño. Siempre con una sonrisa, con un gesto amable. Ojalá podamos volvernos a ver. Será difícil encontrar un lugar que supere a la Hacienda San Bernardo. No solo porque es único como conjunto, sino porque solo hemos recibido atenciones por parte de todos. De Cristal en los preparativos, de María José y Loli durante los cuatro maravillosos días que nos han hecho pasar, de Juan Manuel por compartir con nosotros su conocimiento, y de Agustín y sus hijos, por conseguir que el llegar tarde a Córdoba no fuese un problema. A todos, un enorme "Gracias". Esperamos volver.
