We loved our stay at the River Lodge. Just the perfect spot to see the New Year in. Helen and Pete have created a beautiful space where you can truly relax and appreciate the natural surroundings. Small details and touches make it extra special. We will be back!

A piece of heaven. All of our expectations were exceeded. A tastefully decorated and well equipped cottage in beyond beautiful surroundings. Helen and Pete are wonderful hosts, well supported by Debbie and Dave. Next time, Karoo Ridge will be our destination, not our stopover.

Beautiful location, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay. We went for lovely walks and bicycle rides. The lodge was a treat, comfortable and well planned out. Lots of attention to detail. Daily cleaning was also a treat. Hellen and Peet were amazing hosts and went beyond the expected hospitality. The freshly baked rusks were yum!

Helen and Peter’s place is absolutely amazing. Beautiful walks around the property with stunning views and wildlife. The lodge is comfortable and the place is so peaceful, we will definitely be back!

Our second trip back … and this time to the River Lodge with our dogs. It was a perfect getaway and one of our favorite places for recharging in nature. We will definately be back!
