We really enjoyed our stay. John was super responsive, clear instructions and also shared local events to help enhance our stay. Large kitchen will all utensils and appliances needed. Super comfy bed. Was great to enjoy a nice glass of wine in front of the open fire.

Thanks to John first off; the cottage was just as described and has a great history. We used it as a base for sightseeing around the area and it was always nice to return ‘home’. John is a great host, communicating well, and checking we were checked-in and doing OK, but in no way overbearing. Overall, we’ll absolutely be back, thanks John.

John is simply the best Airbnb host I have ever encountered. After a very minor problem with the hot water system, John drove 2 hours to come visit us and apologise in person. After organising a plumber, he gave my wife and I a very nice bottle of champagne and made arrangements for us to shower elsewhere in the remote chance that the hot water wasn’t fixed (it was totally fine). John went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome in their amazing place. Birregurra is such a wonderful town, and I can’t recommend the place enough. We will be back!

We had a great stay at Strachan Cottage. Easy distance to Brae restaurant in a lovely country town John was a helpful and responsive host and we would highly recommend this property

Lovely place near the centre of a small rural town. Loved it.
