Nestled in five acres of terraced land, covered in wild thyme, rosemary and olive trees, you’ll find four uniquely designed holiday cottages with a shared swimming pool bathed in sunshine. La Daby is family owned and run. Designed and built by our parents 40 years ago who fell in the love with the land and the Bandol region which is famous for its rosé wine. Catering for couples, families and group bookings, La Daby is remote enough for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday, but close enough to the local villages and beaches for those with itchy feet who want to explore, sample the freshest, finest foods that Provence has to offer and visit the many vineyards in the area. La Daby's 5 acres of grounds are made up of four separate cottages available to rent; Chenes (6 guests), Lauriers (6 guests), Tour (2 guests), and Lavendes (4 guests) which rents together with a separate adjacent 'Cabanon' with two single beds (2 guests). The cottages share an unheated swimming pool. The cottages can be rented individually or hired together to host a total of 20 guests. La Daby is the perfect place to unwind. Swim, read, and during summer months, live an alfresco lifestyle, eating all meals on the terraces. There are gas BBQs available outside Lavendes, Lauriers and Chenes and a plancha outside Tour, we provide the gas. In the winter indulge in coastal walks and fireside evening meals. We have plenty sunshine, even in October. The Mediterranean is just a 10 minute drive away, and we’re close to the famous Circuit Paul Ricard racetrack and hill-top villages with winding roads and paths. But it is the spirit of La Daby that brings people back year after year. A home from home, with personal touches in each of the four cottages. La Daby offers you time to take a breath, surrounded by pine trees and blue sky. A place that creates time to dream while enjoying all that Provence has to offer. We have grown-up here, bring our children here and now want to share our unique family space with others. We offer year-round bookings and have free WIFI – even stretching to the pool so you can stream your favourite music as you swim! Children will have a fabulous time in a safe environment with a gated pool, plus we provide a table tennis table with bats for guest use. We have a few baby cots please request at the time of booking. The unheated pool is open from the end of May until the end of September. When playing music please be aware of our neighbours and other guests and turn it off at 22.00 to comply with local laws. *Please note Cabanon has no heating and is therefore not available to rent in Winter months, all the other cottages have heating. La Tour is a unique architect designed three floored building, using local ways of building and local materials it appears as if it has been there nestling in the forest forever. It fits with the pine landscape and looks like a fairytale retreat. It is very popular with honeymooners as it is private, set well away from the other houses and tranquil. Outside La Tour is a terrace with a table and chairs, which makes an excellent spot to eat breakfast in the morning sun. The ground floor living room has built in sofas where you can relax enjoying the warmth of a wood fire at the end of the day while reading a good book, drinking wine or generally just relaxing. The galley kitchen is well-equipped, with a gas hobs and an oven as well as a fridge and – most importantly – a dishwasher. The round dining table is perfect for two. Up the curved staircase is the bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed, plenty of cupboards and a little built-in desk. An eclectic collection of books are housed on the shelf behind the bed. The top floor bathroom has a bath with a shower, basin, toilet and bidet, and leads onto a little terrace with wonderful views across the terrain. Large windows in the living room and bedroom look out over the terraces and pine trees below. All the smaller windows, and the white walls, give La Tour a light spacious feel. The shutters on the windows help to keep the Tower cool in summer and warm in winter. Double windows with mosquito-netting keep out flies as well as the occasional mosquito. As well as the fire, electric radiators keep the place warm in winter. Tour does not have a BBQ. ** Please note that due to the unique design and unprotected stairs La Tour is not suitable for infants and young children. In addition there is no room for an additional bed or crib. ** The tower was built as a romantic retreat for the owners. Set in 5 acres of land along with 3 other houses. The tower is set back in the woods, giving guests peace and seclusion. Although the pool is shared, the other houses are mainly let in school holidays so you could find you have whole property to yourself.
