This place was truly amazing. Cam and his partner were very accommodating and it was great to meet them and get some history of the area. The basin and high desert was a little gem I had no idea there was such spectacular views in the area. Next time we want to come with a new moon so we can really see the stars. You won’t regret booking this place.

A very special mountain cabin! Cam and Christine are excellent hosts, and their spot is charming and off-the-beaten path. A great stay for anyone wanting some time off the grid and with enthusiasm for backcountry-style accomodations, like many forest service cabins, but with cozier decorations and trappings.

We had a really lovely time! Cam and Christine really went out on a limb and were able to make an unexpected accommodation for us which was really appreciated. They are such friendly hosts. The fireplace was our favorite, and just taking long strolls around the property with our dogs. It was so quiet and peaceful, quiet enough to hear a pin drop in the snow, which is exactly what we were looking for. The place is equipped with lots of means of entertainment like books, games, music (the CD player also has an aux cord input that we were able to make use of!), maps, bird watching guides, etc. I packed a pot and pan and silverware and dishes, but there was no need! The outhouse is quite comfortable, a small space just to fit the toilet, carpeted. We had brought an old TV to watch movies on but didn’t want to risk blowing a fuse in the end, be mindful of the low voltage allowance! Perfect place for a digital detox for sure. 😊 We hope to visit again!
