This historic New Orleans shotgun style cottage was cozy, clean and well appointed. Good instructions for check in.
This was the perfect place to stay for a night while passing through. Easy to find, quiet & comfortable with quirky details that embody the lively spirit of the city. I was greeted by a chorus of crows in the little yard & met some friendly kitties. The space was so cozy & I immediately felt at home. It was well appointed with everything I needed for a quick stay. I wish I could've spent more time in this magical city. I will definitely be coming back someday to explore all the art & music and when I do I would absolutely love to stay here again.

Great place to stay, a mix-up meant it hadn’t been cleaned but Paul sorted it immediately, 10 minutes to the French Quarter
Unclean listing, roach infestation, unresponsive host We were really excited to stay in this classic shotgun style house, great location in Marigny/Treme, close to French Quarter, Bywater-very walkable, safe, awesome location. Unfortunately, on check in, we discovered there was dirt/dust on floor/surfaces, hairband on the floor, and dried used contact lenses on the coffee table. We thought about leaving but messaged Paul to see if he could just have someone clean it, he didn't respond. While waiting to hear back from him on evening two, we noticed a cockroach in the bathroom and let him know we were leaving. He responded around 11 the next morning (~36 hrs after initial message) and let us know roaches were to be expected in older homes in tropical environments (?) (not in our experience traveling and living in Taiwan, Southern China, Thailand, Vietnam etc). He was unhelpful and unresponsive during refund process but AirBNB was able to refund when we escalated. Wouldn't book.

Hello! I was a former frequent visitor to New Orleans who eventually moved here. It’s now been my home longer than anywhere else as an adult. I'm a long time government employee and dad to one boy. I love cooking, travel, crafting beer and cocktails, hospitality, gardening, pets, and just generally enjoying events around town. I love exploring foreign cultures and get excited about learning new languages as well.
