There are three bus routes on the road which takes you to Soho, Victoria station, Islington, St Paul's, Shoreditch etc. Within a short walk there are a further 6 bus routes. Local overground stations are Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland for trains to Highbury & Islington and Camden etc. There is also a train station at London Fields and Hackney Downs which takes you to Liverpool Street. Hackney is a popular cycling borough. The closest public cycle hire station is on Queensbridge Road, about 10-15 mins walk.
