The place shows well in pictures and should be a hidden gem. But it’s not. Inside, it’s old and tired with visible gaps to the outside user the door and between cracks in the bricks. Ivy is growing over a lot of the building and in at least one spot has made it through the brick into the interior of the house. When it rained, water leaked inside in two spots. The biggest issue though is spiders! Because of the gaps in the wall, bugs can get in. The first day when I walked in there was a HUGE spider on the bathroom ceiling. Not good but not a fault. It happens. The next day, there was a daddy long legs look-a-like in the bathroom. That evening, I was sitting on the couch and a small glossy black spider dropped down from the ceiling near me. Clearly there is an infestation of bugs. Looking at the lights and vent fans they are full of spider webs. My guess is because of the open gaps, they can easily enter. Do not stay if you can’t handle bugs.

I very much enjoyed The Coach House. Good spacious room and good bathroom. Very good amenities and located close to the town. Quiet and very pleasant place to stay!
