Foi a terceira vez que regressámos a esta casa na qual construímos memórias incríveis. Tanto a casa como o espaço exterior nos levam para outro mundo onde a confusão e barulho da cidade não têm lugar.

What an amazing, peaceful place! Sunset view from your bed, little frogs in the lake, wonderful hosts helping with whatever I needed! Strongly recommend! It is rural, the road to the house is indeed a bit bumpy (Ines lent me one of her cars to avoid damage to my own car) - but it‘s truely worth every pothole.

This is a gorgeous setting in a nearly new villa in the midst of an active "cork farm," which in Portugal means a wooded area of pastureland. The Villa is exquisitely decorated and furnished with some rare and gorgeous antiques and two pristine bathrooms. It's very spacious with a picturesque outdoor sitting area perfect for gazing at the nighttime sky full of stars! Within a few yards of the villa, there is a secluded swimming pool surrounded by huge flowering bushes and orange and lemon trees. The villa sits back a 2 KM dirt lane but easy to navigate. Because it's a ways from the village, it would be good to bring some basic snacks, milk for coffee, etc., but there are several nice restuarants in the nearby village, which our host Paul recommended. Paul also gave us excellent directions to find the villa and suggestions of a winery and lunch cafe nearby. It was a fabulous experience and we highly recommend it for your visit to this area.

We enjoyed our stay. Paul was helpful with local recommendations and gave us a tour of the cork forest. We appreciate his hospitality.
