Welcome to our charming chalet right on the ski slopes. Our family chalet is a cosy authentic house built more than 100 years ago located in a typical village in the heart of Haute Savoie. In winter time you are next to a child friendly ski area. Mont Saxonnex is a small family ski resort. Ski facilities are within walking distance (5 minutes by ski) or directly in front of the chalet. The house is also a lovely place to stay in the summer to go hiking, get a tan and relax. Our family chalet is a cosy authentic house situated in the fields next to an authentic village in the heart of Haute Savoie. Within 5 minutes walk there is Mont Saxonnex with its restaurants, bakery, butcher's and local shop . The chalet is very quiet and safe with children. In winter time you can ski and enjoy a beautiful landscape. Saxonnex is a small family ski resort. Ski facilities are within walking distance (5 minutes by ski). If you want you are not far from Flaine Avoriaz, Megève ,Chamonix(50 km). In the village there is a spa and a sportscenter. In summer time you can chill out in the garden with a view on the mountains. You can go hiking or cyclying. Everything is in front of our doorstep. Lake Benit is an hour walk from the chalet. There is a ski lift in summer you can take with your bike and enjoy mountain biking. Either in summer or winter there is so much to do From a choice of lots of beautiful sceneries down by Lake Geneva, outdoor pools in the mountains, stunning walks to suit all levels, road biking is very popular and this is great place to base yourself, VTT/ mountain biking. The wild flowers are spectacular in early summer and the mountain walks are stunning. Switzerland is half an hour drive away. The chalet is very quiet and safe with children.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine au Mont Saxonnex dans le chalet de Catherine. Une hôte qui s'est montrée disponible et soucieuse de bien nous accueillir avec un petit cadeau à l'arrivée. Le chalet est agréable, spacieux et conforme à la description. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Malgré le manque de neige, nous avons pu explorer de nombreuses activités dans les alentours. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt.
Chalet bien équipé et très confortable dans un endroit magnifique avec une belle vue, près des pistes et des forêts. Très pratique aussi pour aller faire des courses quotidiennes à pieds dans le centre du village. Le chalet est grand contrairement à un appartement moderne. Une expérience très authentique et paisible! Hôte très disponible.
La salle de bain est TRÈS humide Il n’y a qu’un chauffage d’appoint à mettre en route 20 minutes avant l’utilisation de la salle de bain Un des murs suinte l’eau c’est très désagréable car les serviettes ne sèchent pas
The location of the chalet is great as a central base, but get what you pay for and this place needs a lot of maintenance. One of the beds broke when we sat on it - the bed had been previously broken and badly fixed, but still the owner expected us to pay for a new bed which we refused. We accidentally knocked over one of the bedroom lamps – FYI multi-cables are laid across the floor due to a lack of electrical sockets in the room – this could have been a serious accident. We would have paid for a replacement but did not agree to the 35 euros requested for a basic lamp, tried to look in local shops too There is a big patch of mould growing in the corner of the kitchen (big health hazard), there was no storage space for clothes in one of the bedrooms, and the hot water tank was too small for us all to have quick showers in the evening, the TV signal is extremely poor and did not work even half of the time. Still needed to clean property even though paid for cleaning fee in booking.

You can park next to the chalet. There are no public transports but you can easily walk to the village to get what you need. The supermarkets are in the valley 7km. You need a car to go there.
