We had a great time in this very nice and very private house. The view from the living room and the bedrooms is spectacular and the patio is great to sit at all day. The kitchen has all utilities and there are two bathrooms available. Dume is a very nice and flexible host. The village is quite remote so you need to be prepared to make some milage if you want to see different sites. For us, this is a part of an active holiday so no issue at all. We can highly recommend staying here. It was a blast!

Die Unterkunft ist echt super. Felicia, die Mutter von Dume, hat uns in Empfang genommen und uns alles gezeigt. Sie war sehr herzlich und bemüht! Das Haus selbst liegt ruhig, hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick und ist das Höchste im Ort. Wir waren ohne Auto dort, aber man kann in 30 Minuten zum Bahnhof laufen und in 20 Minuten zu einem kleinen Supermarkt. In Tavera gibt es auch ein Restaurant, das aber nur am Samstagabend geöffnet ist und gute Pizza hat. Deswegen sollte man gerne selbst kochen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und das Kochen dort hat Spaß gemacht. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Our worst accomodation experience ever. Construction works on the neighboring property starting in June 2022. We refused to check in. Refund refused. We looked for a relaxing place for our family vacation on Corse. We asked the host before booking, if the place is really calm, without any construction works around, and the host explicitly confirmed this. Based on it we booked. But two months later, as we arrived at Tavera, we were shocked because there was a bulldozer and a dusty construction site next to the house terrace, on the neighbour's plot (no natural or other barrier between the house and the construction site). The problem was trivialized by the host, saying that they cannot restrict the neighbour to work on the site from 9-18. When we refused to check in under such conditions, the behaviour of the host (his mother) became very unfriendly. So we didn't check-in and had to look for another accomodation on Corse - at the last minute and very stressed. The next day, our host refused to refund us our money! Later he did not even accept the 50:50 solution and stopped communicating. In fact, he earned more than if we stayed in Tavera, because he also kept the taxes and his profit was larger due to zero costs (water, electricity etc.) This experience made our vacation start very stressful and unpleasant. Based on our experience, you cannot trust this host. And when it comes to trouble, do not expect any kind of generosity from him! And be carefull, at least 2022-2023 you can probably expect construction works next to your "relaxing place in Tavera".
