We loved staying at this place! The windmill made us feel like we were living in a fairytale. The property is remarkable in its beauty and creative design, combining stone, wood, and plenty of charm. There is an outside kitchen with a table, an outdoor seating area near the other kitchen, a garden, and an outdoor shower with a millstone for the floor. What a joy it is to take a cool shower as you feel the breeze while hearing the birds and the little lizards that live within the crevices of the stone wall come and go. Take out the hammocks at night to enjoy the stars! Sleeping in the very top bedroom is a unique experience. However, the stairs are very steep, and you should exercise caution (not recommended for sleepwalkers!) Marifer, Jesús, and Ana Griselda

A singular and incredible experience staying at this renovated and refurbished windmill, with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. This was the perfect jumping off point for exploring the western side of Sao Miguel.

Well designed and well taken care of place, super quiet, very spacious outside, equipped with all one might need, quite challenging when it comes to stairs, especially the top floor needs to be reached with caution, but overally great experience!

O Moinho da Bibi is a great place to stay. Very nicely renovated and well equipped. You will need a car to stay here but I guess that is true for the most part of the Sao Miguel island. If you are a very light sleeper, the birds will probably wake you up in the morning as there is little in the way of sound insulation. Overall we had a wonderful week with even a couple of nice sunsets.
