We enjoyed our getaway at David’s cozy cottage.The cottage was neat and tidy and the location was dreamy. The cottage is in the middle of a forest on a serene and peaceful lake. We enjoyed looking at the stars by the fire out by the water at nights and the warm wood stove inside. We loved having our morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up and shine on the fall colours. We went on some beautiful hikes around the cabin. David is very accommodating and responsive. I highly recommend him as a host!

This is an excellent place to stay for a quiet beautiful break. If you plan to spend some time in Algonquin Park, it's a bit of a trip to get there but this lake is lovely. The house is very well equipped. You should be sure to take a print out of the instructions of how to get there in case the phone connection is dodgy and you don't remember what David said in the write-up. We were not able to establish a computer hot-spot with our phone so we were not able to use our computers in the cabin. We went to the Madawaska Public Library which has 24/7 wifi which was satisfactory for us but if you need constant connection, you might feel otherwise. David was very helpful and quick to respond. We saw loons on the lake, moose in the park, and lovely sunrises. We had plenty of firewood to keep us warm in the chilly September evenings.

We so enjoyed our time here. Took our kayaks out on the lake and onto the adjoining river. Such beauty in the driftwood amongst the marsh. The cabin was rustic but more than met all of our needs. Nice sitting by the dock reading and listening to the loon’s call. Perfect.
