This was my second stay at Judy's house, the first one was for two months and this one for three months. My first stay was also my first AirBnB experience and I must honestly say I couldn't have chosen a nicer place to stay. That’s why I didn’t hesitate to book again for my next stay. Judy and her family were fantastic and will do absolutely anything (within reason, of course!) to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. She sent me detailed information about the house and the surrounding area prior to my arrival and made me feel very welcome right from the moment I’d completed my booking until the moment of my departure. She really knows everything and everybody in the area and is always willing to help by offering advice on where to go, what to see and who to talk to. She’ll respect your privacy but at the same you’re welcome to go downstairs to the kitchen for a chat if you want to. The house is a beautiful, big, typically English house out of a Victorian Era period drama and is located in a magnificent rural area with stunning views form the room. The room itself is very spacious with lots of natural light, a very comfortable bed, a writing desk, small dinner table, TV and a “cooking area” with a microwave, toaster, egg boiler, kettle and small induction hob. The roomy ensuite bathroom is a recent and well finished addition with toilet, wash basin and a spacious shower. It’s like living in a self-contained apartment. The house itself is very quiet and you hardly ever hear any of the other lodgers or Judy’s family. It’s a great little retreat for anyone writing a book, such as myself, or someone looking for peace and quiet after a hard day’s work/shopping. I can’t recommend Judy highly enough to fellow travellers! Don’t deny yourself this great experience and book well in advance as she’s quite popular and has many return lodgers, which should tell you all you need to know!

Judy was a great host, with immediate responses to the booking etc and very welcoming on arrival and during stay Room was great.. really spacious and had everything needed for a self-catering stay.. the breakfast provisions were a lovely touch and much appreciated.. House is very well situated for Burnham & Slough.. I was using as a base to work in Slough.. very easy access being only 4 miles away even though you feel you're in the countryside, journey time to Slough totally dependent on what time you travel.. Hadn't been to Burnham.. a 5 minute drive away.. before and only walked through one evening but looks like a lovely place, and looks to have all the eateries and drinkeries you could need.. and I expect I'll take time to visit the village next time..
