Für uns war es eine traumhafte Unterkunft, die vor allem durch die sehr freundliche und offene Art von Margeritha, die sich als Herbergsmutter und Mutter von Serenesse rührend um uns gekümmert hat, und uns mit den wertvollsten Tipps für Unternehmungen im näheren und für die Weiterreise im weiteren Umfeld geduldig versogt hat und uns jeden Morgen ein wundervolles Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem Brot und Kuchen serviert hat! Wir haben uns in dieser liebevollen Herberge sehr glücklich gefühlt! Herzlichen Dank dafür!

We loved our stay here. We wanted somewhere quiet out of a main city, yet central to a number of interesting sites in the area. ( eg. 40 minutes to either Siena or Grosseto) and close to other small typical Tuscan hilltop towns. A highlight was the local free Terme. Lovely natural hot pools with adjacent river and big stone arched bridge. The host family were very friendly and informative of local and ancient history. ( the Etruscans being of particular interest). We would definitely recommend staying here if you have a car.

We really enjoyed the place, very beatiful, out of a fairy tale. Margherita was a lovely host and showed us around. We even got to see a musical number from Margherita's husband, who's a singer.

Stayed there in between two days of road trip and I had a nice everting but an even better morning. Margherita, Serenesse mother, is the nicest person I have discovered through RBNB. And the breakfast that she makes you is 5 stars.

We had high hopes for this small farm house experience. The check in and initial communication went well. However, the place was overall not what we expected. It was cluttered and required important maintenance. After driving and a trip to a nearby hotspring, we were looking forward to a nice hot shower. When trying to shower, it flooded the entire bathroom and kitchen. We spent a good chunk of time cleaning it up. While we understood the place was advertised as having no A/C, we would have expected a fan at a minimum for how hot August can be. Between the heat and uncomfortable bed, we got little to no sleep. We had only booked for one night on our way to Florence thankfully and decided to leave first thing in the morning. The host reached out asking why we left without notice and I explained. She expressed if I would have communiacted with her they could have further assisted, but I'm just not sure how she could have fixed any of the glaring issues in a timely fashion.
