Jahazi House is a unique home on a beautiful, wide, empty beach on a very quiet part of Lamu Island which enjoys the most spectacular of sunsets. Eric and the team were fantastic and kind hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Jahazi! I decided to host my farewell weekend in this secluded gem after 6 years in kenya. We were a group of nine friends who enjoyed a weekend full of swimming and eating delicious food. The house, including the deep indoor pool and the nice upstairs terrace were lovely. The fact that you’re on the beach and essentially have a private beach to yourself was another plus of this magical place. The staff however made the trip, the food was excellent and they were accommodating all our needs (some adjustments to the menu, supporting our cocktail making). The highlight of the trip were the candle light dinner in the garden and the fire pit they set up, as well as wake boarding between the mangroves at sunset! The only thing to be mindful of is the seasonal sandflies. Now in July they are around and many of us got quite a few bites! Not fault of the house, but repellent is a must.

Our recent stay at Jahazi House in Lamu was absolutely phenomenal! Chef Safari, Zahra, Benson, and Jasper (a big shoutout to him!), Ali and Adallah went above and beyond to ensure our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. We were thoroughly impressed by their exceptional service and attention detail. The house itself was truly magnificent. The breathtaking beach views that greeted us each day left us in awe. We found the pool to be a refreshing oasis, perfect for relaxation during those warm afternoons. The highlight of our stay was undeniably the food. Chef Safari's culinary skills are unmatched. Each meal he prepared was a work of art, bursting with exquisite flavors. From delectable seafood dishes to mouthwatering local delicacies, our taste buds were in paradise. We eagerly anticipated every meal, knowing it would be a culinary delight.The outstanding service, awe-inspiring views, and incredible cuisine make it a gem in Lamu. We are already planning the next trip!
