We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. The large kitchen island was such a nice place to gather for meals and games. The outdoor space was magical in the evening and we really enjoyed the fire pit. The view of the water was even better than we had expected. Beautiful setting and we would definitely recommend.

This place is amazing! Right across the bridge from Sandpoint about a 25 minute drive to Schweitzer. It’s so nice inside and in the most beautiful location. Pet friendly too! Would recommend to anyone!
Thomas’s place is perfect for a trip to the Sandpoint/Schweitzer area. He was friendly and even proactively messaged me about some stuff my group accidentally left behind.

We are Thomas and Erin. We have been coming to Sandpoint for over 30 years for leisure and it has easily become our happy place. We purchased Murphy’s Retreat in 2014 as an upgrade from a camping trailer and are blessed to have a quiet, peaceful property with some filtered lake views. We are dog owners (2 chocolate labs) and believe in the harmony pets provide. Our male lab is named Murphy and when we found the home on Murphy Bay, we felt it was meant to be. We are happy to be able to share Murphy’s Retreat as the tranquility, location and vibe is easy to absorb. Our philosophy is a shared experience so you will find the home is very well stocked - from the kitchen pantry, to the water sports equipment. We encourage a use and replace lifestyle (if you finish the olive oil, pick up a bottle and leave it) which creates a win / win for all guests.
