All I can say is: Terrible. From a week before our stay, the host has been unresponsive. He continued to be unresponsive during our stay, and even now, after our stay. We had no instructions given to us about checking in, and no one to greet us. We found trash in the bin upon arrival, dirty dishes in the sink, and no clean towels. The place was not prepared for our arrival, and it looked like it had not been cleaned up after the previous guest. No information package, no communication with host - it was extremely weird arrival. Door was left open, so we just walked in. The whole house was extremely dirty. The television did not work (even though it was advertised as an amenity), the shower curtains fell on our heads twice, there was no warm water, the sewage system escapes out onto the basement floor, and there is just so much more. There has been no maintenance done on the house, whatsoever. I strongly recommend not staying here.

Very nice and cozy house. The house stay in a beautiful, convenient location and has everything you need. There is a lake near the house. Jerry is very friendly and always answered all questions. We also saw the northern lights. We are very glad that we stayed here.

Vakantiewoning met potentie wanneer de verhuurder zijn verantwoordelijk zou nemen. Meerdere voorzieningen zoals in de advertentie vermeld zijn niet aanwezig of kapot.

Wir hatten eine erlebnisreiche Zeit in dem Haus. Leider war der Vermieter nicht persönlich erreichbar, es bestand allerdings Kontakt zu ihm per Internet. Er hatte uns für etwaige Probleme einen Ansprechpartner aus demselben Dorf benannt. Dieser war auch sehr nett, agierte aber ausdrücklich nicht als Hausverwalter, sondern lediglich als Mittelsmann und Bote. Dadurch wurden einige angezeigte Mängel (unvollständige Ausstattung) erst mit Verzögerung oder auch gar nicht abgestellt. Bei längerer Abwesenheit des Vermieters bedarf es u. E. einer verantwortlichen, selbstständig handlungsfähigen Stellvertretung vor Ort.

I booked 9 nights but ended up staying only for 1 night. We decided to leave and rather lose the money we paid already, because we did not expect what we found. The house was advertised with Internet. It does not have internet, which was the major selling point for us! While the rest of the description is not really wrong, it can be described as misleading. The interior of the house is rather dated. There are plenty of mosquitos and no mosquito screens. The house gets very hot during sunny days. The house is very cleverly photographed, so that the surrounding houses cannot be seen, although they are close by. The lake is further than just "Close by" would indicate. For someone with a walking handicap definitely not in walking distance. Communication with the host was very good, up to the point we left and asked for a partial refund. We did not get any response from the host since then. This is not Airbnb Host standard. I am very disappointed. A vacation that we looked forward to very much, was ruined for us.
