We had a great time - plenty of room! Easy to walk to the little town area, and pretty much anywhere. Ocean is beautiful. Never made to a beach area with sand, so can not comment. Easy access to Portland, which has lots to do and great restaurants/bars; museum etc.

Pam was extremely welcoming and accommodating! She will pick you up and drop you off from the ferry since the house is a little bit out of town. If you have a bike or rent a golf cart, the distance is really no issue and allowed me to explore the entire island. She gave me a quick tour in her car and brief history of the island upon arrival. Her front porch is very warm and welcoming. The bedroom was upstairs and had a bath right next door. The bed had nice clean soft sheets and Pam provided as many towels as needed for showering. The shower enclosure in the bath was new and had good hot water and pressure. Pam really has a heart of gold so I hate to list negatives, but I want to be honest for future guests. The mattress in the room was quite saggy and the rug laid over more old rugs could definitely scare some away. Both had seen their life expectancy. However, if your not super picky about these things then its a safe and hospitable place to stay and enjoy exploring Peaks!
