Upon arrival, Celine and Gille were very hospitable. We felt right at home. They are very accommodating. The room and bed were very comfortable. The place and surroundings were peaceful. The provided breakfast was all homemade and tasty. The icing on the cake is the dinner. Celine and her team are the best cooks in the area. It’s truly like French cuisine as cooked in Tabakouta. We ate dinner with them both nights we were there and I would highly recommend it. They organized our day trips to lion walk and visiting mangroves and nearby sandy beach. Overall great stay with these two interesting and wholesome people! Just stay at Celine’s!

What a lovely place to discover the Delta du Saloum! Céline and Gilles are amazing hosts who made us feel right at home. They organised fantastic activities like a day trip to the Fathala reserve and a boat ride on the delta to explore the mangrove. I highly recommend Céline’s amazing cuisine. We will definitely come back!

Staying in Celine's guesthouse in Toubacouta was one of the highlights of our trip around Senegal. The tour guide who's employed at the guesthouse, Doudou, is a wonderful resource for telling guests all about life in the village, the mangrove swamps, the ecology and history of the area, and Senegal in general. Staying here gave us so much context about the country and the area. And the available activities, while expensive, are so enriching, fun, and enlightening. Highly recommend staying here if you want to go deeper than the traditional tourist experience and learn about the magical mangroves and culture of Senegal!

We kunnen u het verblijf ten stelligste aanraden. Het logement is centraal gelegen maar is tegelijk een oase van rust. De kamers zijn piekfijn en alles is tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Céline en Gilles zullen jullie met open armen ontvangen en helpen om jullie verblijf optimaal in te plannen. We raden aan om minumum 4 nachten te blijven. Er is veel te beleven en Gilles kan instaan voor de organisatie ervan: Vogelspotting voor beginners in combiantie met een vis BBQ op een verlaten strand, bezoek aan de locale hectische markt, ... De bewoners van Toubakouta zijn ook heel gastvrij en altijd klaar voor een babbel. Teken ook in voor de maaltijden terplaatse. Altijd een verrassing, maar steeds van hoog niveau.

Gill & Celine and their warm and welcoming team members provide top shelf hospitality, gourmet dinners, sparkingly clean rooms and amazing adventures through excursions! Our family of 5 spent two lovely nights as we visited the Fathala Wildlife Reserve (20 minutes away) and we found this wonderful bed and breakfast offered many activities and excursions. On the bird watching excursion of the Mangroves we experienced the spectacular sightings of a variety of birds (I.e. egrets, pelicans ) and witnessed their evening gathering together! It is a must see to believe! This quaint and personable relaxing bed and breakfast is simply delightful ... you will love what it has to offer!
